Marketing Harris Theater for Music and Dance

Harris Theater in Millennium Park is one of Chicago’s most treasured cultural assets. We were honored to support their mission for over a decade.

Harris Theater was founded to offer a premier venue in Millennium Park to Chicago’s mid-size performing arts organizations. Since its opening in 2003, it has also worked to attract top-tier talent from around the world.

The theater initially focused on serving the culturally diverse interests of their resident music and dance companies. When we met with leadership, we were asked to honor this critical role by strengthening connections with those audiences while helping to increase ticket sales to support their not-for-profit mission.

Over the course of our relationship, we collaborated routinely with Harris team members to adapt and strengthen their digital presence as their brand evolved.

In anticipation of their groundbreaking 2017–2018 and 2018–2019 seasons, we worked closely with Patricia Barretto and her team to develop splashy microsites, enticing patrons to explore upcoming artists and performances through photos, video interviews, program notes, and reviews.

While we continue to support the Theater as patrons, we shifted our resources away from developing highly customized websites, such as those required to offer virtual performances in response to the pandemic. In 2020, we worked closely with the Harris team to find a new partner that could help guide the Theater into the next decade.
